And you can use the coupon codes above for more than one item!   That is a HUGE perk!   You do have to make a separate order to use it again, but with free shipping over $50, you really don’t have much to lose when you’re looking at big ticket items (or you could always get orders  less than $50 sent to your local REI store for free, if you live near one).

I don’t own this particular jacket, but I have a very similar version made by Helly Hansen.  This is one of those pieces of outdoor clothing you don’t realize how much you’ll use until you own it.  It’s absolutely perfect for blocking wind, throwing on quickly in a light rain (it does not replace a true rain jacket, but it’s great for misty conditions), or just throwing over your puffy jacket in camp.  I use mine the most in shoulder seasons, but I have it in my pack at all times. Outdoor Research Winter Ferrosi Insulated Hoodie for Women

This jacket gets great reviews and it’s been on my wish list for awhile.  I know I would use it in everyday life as much as on the trail.  As one reviewer states, “All the weather proof protection of a soft shell, with enough insulation to keep you warm when the temps drop. Way more durable than a lighter down layer and more windproof than chunky sweaters.”  Sign me up.  I did notice that several reviewers mention that the sizing is a bit odd, but if you live near an REI, that’s easy enough to fix with a return.  I may finally bite the bullet on this one at $105 with my coupon code.

Before you get TOO excited, it’s only available in XXL.  BUT, it’s $195 which is 45% off the regular price of $350.  This one is hard to find for men on sale, especially in the hooded options, but I’ll keep looking and post them when I see them!
