Even if Gossamer Gear isn’t running a sale, you can always check out their Gear Closet, where I’ve found some great buys. Right now, there are a few things in it that are great buys and worthy of your attention. I’m am Ambassador for this amazing brand, so I’m well versed and experienced with the quality of their products. In short, they rock.
Ranger 35 Backpack
One of my fellow Gossamer Gear Ambassadors did an Instagram story with the Ranger 35 Pack, while she used it for her gear on a trail run from Yosemite to Mammoth on the JMT. If that doesn’t give it some creds, I’m not sure what else does. It’s on sale for 20% off, bringing it down to $124. There’s a great video on this page that gives a good overview of the specs and multitude of features.
The last thing I need is another pack from Gossamer Gear, but this one tempts me heavily!
Gossamer Gear Lonestar 30
Just a tad bit smaller at 30 liters, the Lonestar has some slight differences in features, but it’s still loaded with functionality. A great choice for a day pack and it’s also 20% off!
Hipbelt Pocket
A mere 1.2 ounces is a small weight penalty to pay for extra at-the-ready storage space for snacks, a camera, or whatever else you want to stuff in it. It even has an internal clip for your keys.
My family has used these hipbelt pockets for years, and I even use mine for a small toiletry bag on backpacking trips that I put down in my pack. They’re the bomb and per the website, they will “fit any Gossamer Gear pack ever made that has a padded hipbelt or many other hipbelts that do not have pockets.”
They’re 29% off which brings them down to $9.99.
Finally, one of my personal favorites, the long-handled bamboo spoon. If you don’t like the mouth feel of metal utensils or use a nonstick pot on the trail, this spoon is your new best friend. It weighs 12-15 grams, doesn’t retain odors, and is a nice size for both stirring and eating. It’s 38% off which brings it to $4.99
Bonus points for being able to whittle it down to use for emergency tinder for a fire, should you need it.
If you’re not a member already, I invite you to join my Facebook group, Backpacking, Hiking and Camping Deals, where I post things as quickly as I find them! It’s also a fabulous community of outdoor enthusiasts who are eager and willing to share their experience with various brands and products I find on sale.
