Holidays are so incredibly over done and over the top in this country, and I try hard not to fall prey to the retail madness of it all. My favorites are those that aren’t overtly centered around religion (which gets completely lost in translation anyway). Valentines Day is one of those holidays whose simplicity, at least in my own own home, I can appreciate. I mean really, how can you not like a day centered around those you love? Lou had three of her besties over for a party today to celebrate the season. Buddy was allowed to invite one friend so he wouldn’t be completely overrun by females. We had fun snacks, made homemade Valentine shirts, played Bingo with conversation hearts, but I think the most fun was had with the boys chasing the girls! Celebrate the ones you love in your own life…I for one am very thankful for those who make my heart go pitter patter.
Lou had as much fun decorating the cupcakes as she did eating them |
